CSX-P
Course Description
The CSX-P (Cybersecurity Practitioner) training course is designed to prepare professionals for ISACA’s performance-based CSX-P certification. This course focuses on developing practical, hands-on cybersecurity skills required to detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats in real-world environments.
Learners begin with a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, including threat landscapes, attack vectors, and defensive strategies. The course emphasizes operational security skills rather than theory, helping participants understand how cyberattacks occur and how to respond effectively.
The course covers network and system security, including monitoring, log analysis, vulnerability identification, and defensive controls. Learners will gain exposure to threat detection techniques, security event analysis, and incident response workflows. Emphasis is placed on identifying suspicious activity, investigating security incidents, and applying remediation measures.
Participants will also explore incident response and recovery, learning how to contain threats, restore systems, and conduct post-incident analysis. The course includes real-world scenarios and examples that reflect the performance-based nature of the CSX-P exam.
This course is ideal for cybersecurity practitioners, SOC analysts, IT professionals, and aspiring security specialists who want to validate their hands-on cybersecurity skills. By the end of the course, learners will be prepared to take the CSX-P exam and confidently perform essential cybersecurity operations in professional environments.
